- Mr Simon Radley
- MBCHB MD FRCS
- Consultant Colorectal Surgeon
Mr Radley is the founder of The Birmingham Bowel Clinic which provides a comprehensive and integrated range of services with a multidisciplinary approach to the management of bowel conditions.
Mr Radley’s special interests include: advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery, colonoscopy, bowel cancer screening, functional bowel disorders, hemorrhoids, cancer surgery, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and is a past Council Member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (2003-2009). Mr Radley has published widely on colorectal disease and has written several book chapters. He has recently featured in the Daily Mail regarding a complex rectal cancer case that he treated using pioneering surgical techniques.
- Dr Jason Goh

- Consultant Gastroenterologist
Dr Goh graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin and trained in Gastroenterology, Liver medicine and General Medicine at St. James Hospital and Mater Hospital in Dublin. He was appointed as Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust in 2002. He is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and leads the bowel cancer screening programme at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. His interests include; Inflammatory Bowel disease, bowel cancer screening, primary sclerosing cholangitis, constipation and medical education.
Dr Goh has published articles on Inflammatory Bowel Disease, constipation, general Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He was recipient of the Astra Gold Medal in Gastroenterology in 2000 and JMS Doctor of the Year for best research in Gastroenterology in 2003.
- Dr Kiran Patel

- Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Kiran Patel graduated from Cambridge University in 1993 and then trained in Cambridge, Bristol and Birmingham. He holds a substantive post as Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Cardiovascular Medicine at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust and also practices from the BMI Priory and Spire Little Aston. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London and the British Cardiovascular Society.
His main interests are
Coronary artery disease and cardiovascular risk assessment. He performs cardiac imaging and coronary angiography.
Arrhythmias (investigation of symptoms related to palpitations, dizzy spells and blackout) and pacemaker implantation (including implantable defibrillators and pacing for heart failure) - he has performed over 1000 pacemaker implants
Heart failure and investigation of symptoms related to breathlessness
Together with Dr Bahia at the Edgbaston Medical Practice, Dr Patel has seen and treated many cardiac patients and their families, with excellent levels of satisfaction.
- Dr Michelle Thomson

Dr Michelle Thomson obtained a BSc Honours degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, Canada in 1994. She then qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School and trained in general medicine to become a Member of The Royal College of Physicians of London. She subsequently completed her specialist training in Dermatology in the West Midlands. She was then appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist to The Birmingham Skin Centre at City Hospital.
She has a practice in all aspects of general dermatology, with special interests in skin cancer, dermatological surgery and lasers.

Dr Parijat De is a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipid Metabolism at City Hospital (Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust), Birmingham and BMI Priory Hospital, Birmingham. He has a wide interest and expertise in all aspects of Endocrinology and Diabetes, especially in the field of Metabolic medicine including resistant hypertension, metabolic syndrome and diabetic renal disease.
He specialises in thyroid disease, ovarian (including polycystic ovarian syndrome) and adrenal dysfunction, hirsutism, calcium and electrolyte disorders, pituitary disease, osteoporosis, erectile dysfunction, menopause, infertility and any problems relating to General Medicine including dizziness, collapse, syncope, falls, confusion, CV disease, hypertension and lipid abnormalities.
- Miss Gabrielle Downey

- Consultant Gynaecologist
Gabrielle Downey is a Birmingham based consultant gynaecologist. She studied medicine in Ireland and chose gynaecology as her specialty as she wished to empower women to make informed choices about their own health.
She trained in various hospitals in London including Queen Charlottes before coming to Birmingham where she is now a consultant gynaecologist at the Birmingham City Hospital and BMI Priory Hospital, Birmingham. Her research was into the cause of abnormal smears and resulted in her being awarded an MD. Over the past 15 years her service has progressed and developed and she now offers a wide range services in the management of a variety of conditions including pelvic pain, prolapse, fertility issues, period problems, cosmetic gynaecology and problems with intercourse.
- Mr Binod Singh

- Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mr Singh is one of the few orthopaedic surgeons in the UK to exclusively specialise in knee surgery. He has performed over 1500 total knee replacements, and more than 7000 arthroscopies. He also regularly performs complex ligament reconstruction, articular cartilage surgery and revision of failed knee replacements.
Mr Singh’s surgical excellence is only half the story. He’s passionate about his patients’ care and is committed to treating them as individuals – or as he puts it “like family.” His clinical judgements are based not just on their physical condition but also on their unique set of personal circumstances.
As an exclusive knee specialist in Birmingham, Mr Singh is dedicated to pushing the boundaries in his field and his research, ensuring that Knee Clinic patients can take advantage of the very latest developments and techniques. His work in minimally invasive total knee replacements and achieving high flexion (bend) after knee replacements has contributed to the design and evaluation of new implants that are used all over the world.
